With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thurman O'Neal Smith (Tallassee, Alabama), who passed away on October 5, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Smith and Alma Fannie C. Smith; and his brother Cooper Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Smith; his children, Bobby Smith (Barbara), Suzanne Mooney (Brian), Karen Millwood (Ricky), Evan Smith (Kim), Johnny Smith (Rachel) and Misty Vilardi (Robert); and his grandchildren, Bobby Smith, Jr. (Tiffany), Amy Smith Waits, Cody Smith, Alexis Smith Speegle (Michael), Christine Smith, Victoria Smith, Catherine Smith, Ezra Smith, Ethan Smith, Julian Vilardi, Lillian "BooBoo" Vilardi and Dominic Vilardi. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jeffcoat Funeral Home Chapel (255 Friendship Rd, Tallassee, AL 36078). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM.
