We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2024, at the age of 80, Walter Hogue of Tallassee, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Hogue and Juanita Hogue of Lewisville; and his sister Mary Alice Arnold of Marietta, Ohio.. He is survived by : his wife Marjorie Hansen Hogue; his daughters, Johanna "Joey" Hogue Courson (David) of Smiths Station, AL and Christina "Christy" Nelson (Phillip) of Tallassee, AL; his grandchildren, Caroline Walker (Trey) of Smiths Station, Catherine Courson of Smiths Station, Caleb Courson of Smiths Station, Faith Nelson of Tallassee and Mason Nelson of Tallassee; and his sister Marjory Fouss (Doug). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Bradford's Chapel in Shorter, Alabama.

“Marjorie...I just learned of Walter's passing. I am so very sorry for your loss. Jim and I still remember the good times we had in Gainesville, especially at the Hort Unit...with Walter driving Jim through the woods in that old truck.
