He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Ellis" Ivy and Dorothy "Blanche" Ivy; his siblings, Gary Ivy (Donna) and Linda Trousdale; and his sons, Dennis "Denny" Lee Ivy Jr. and Timothy Sistrunk.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ivy; his children, Jonathan Lee Ivy (Leslie), Rebecca Gail McCurry (Jeremy), Rachel Elizabeth Boyle (Mike), David Homer Bishop and Diane Sistrunk; his grandchildren, Hannah Derise (Jordan), Jonathan Bishop (Alexis), Peyton Weeks (Addison), Heather Colburn (Taylor), Kadence Ford (Blaine), Emily McCurry, Paislee Ivy and Mirakel Sistrunk; and his siblings, Patricia Russell (Jack), Joan Ivy, Mona Ivy and Mark Ivy. He is also survived by great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home (322 US-31, Athens, AL 35611). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
