Tommy Akers Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on November 14, 2025, at the age of 61, Tommy Akers of Tanner, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Tommy is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Tommy's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Merril Akers and Glenda Harper Compton; his brother Joe Merril "Joey" Akers, Jr.; and his daughter Mary Hannah Akers. He is survived by: his son Leland Thompson "Lee" Akers (Rylee) of Detroit, AL; and his aunts, Brenda Lawler and Connie Smith.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Liberty Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
