He is survived by: his wife Debra Southerland of Tanner, AL; his sister Susan Mastalski of Fay, NC.; his children, Andrea Northup of Tanner, AL, David Atwood of Lincolnton, NC, Bryan Atwood of Corpus Christi, TX and William Southerland of Pinellas County, FL.; his grandchildren, Steven Atwood, Austin Northup, Kevin Northup Faye Atwood, Konnor Atwood, Dale Atwood, Landon Atwood and Alice Southerland; and also Emma Northup.
