He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jones Vaughn; his parents, Percy Vaughn and Marjorie Vaughn; and his siblings, Marie Vaughn, Tommy Vaughn and Mike Vaughn.
He is survived by: his son James Vaughn (Martha); his stepchildren, Bobby D. Jones (Elaine) and Barbara Zegarra (Peter); his grandchildren, Ashley Duet, Martha Lee Hawkins (Stacy), Christopher Jones, Christina Courounis, Nicole Berry (Matt) and Jake Couch; his great grandchildren, Archie Duet III, John Duet, Lara Lee Hawkins, Devin Hawkins, Oliver Berry, Charles Berry and Jude Couch; and his sisters, Glenda Kimbrell, Charlotte Lee and Kay Cherry (Roger Stratton).
