He was predeceased by: his parents, Waylon James Cross and Mary Nell Shrauger; his granddaughter Jilliann Renee Cross; and his brother James Glenos Cross. He is survived by: his wife Judy Barlow Cross; his sons, Charles "Chuck" Edward Cross, Jr. (Phyllis Reeves) of Mobile, AL and Christopher "Chris" Patrick Cross, Sr. (Jennifer) of Eustis, FL; his grandchildren, Taylor Jackson Cross, Emma Cross Watts (Ethan), Addison Elyse Cross and Christopher Patrick Cross, Jr. (Pate); and his brother Phillip Waylon Cross (Judy). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Homewood Church of Christ in Homewood, AL, and their hospitality ministry which provides rent free accommodations for families who are seeking long term options while their loved ones are being treated in the UAB clinical setting in Eddie's name.
