She was predeceased by : her parents, James Woodward and Lillie Mae Woodward of Alabama; her husband Joe Watson Jr.; her siblings, Jimmy, Johnnie Woodward and Laura Mae Graham; and her grandchildren, Jeff Gills and Debbie Smith.

She is survived by : her children, Janice Gills (James) and Steve Watson (Lucy); her grandchildren, Joe Watson IV, Charles Gills (Tracie) and Danielle LeBourgeois (John); her sister Rita Robertson; and her son Joe Watson III. She is also survived by several great grandchildren as well as great-great grandchildren.
