He was predeceased by: his father James McArthur; his grandchild Cameron Tabor; and also James M. "Skeeter" Parnell. He is survived by: his mother Mary Ann Parnell; his daughters, Kandace Humphrey (Colton), Kerri Chavis (Walter) and Ashley Parnell; his siblings, Connie Parnell Morgan (Harry), Rebecca "Missi" Parnell Gustafson (Taylor), Ronald "Mack" Parnell (Anna), Susan Parnell McGarrity (Tom), Mark McKinley (Joni), John Wesley Parnell (Roxanne) and Wayne Buckalew (Pam); and his grandchildren, Johnnie Humphrey, C. J. Humphrey, Gunner Humphrey, Mason Tabor and Kertis Tabor.
