He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Leon McNair and Sara Johnson McNair. He is survived by: his wife Gay Carter McNair; his children, Camelle McNair Coley (Sean) and William Leon McNair II (Johanna); his grandchildren, Sonya McNair Nance (Jeff), Conner McNair Veasey (Alex), Florence, Ann Carter Cowart (Logan), Selma and Jebidiah Davis; his great grandchild Katherine Bailey Cowart; his sister Sara Charles McNair Gross; and his sister-in-law Glenda Ann Dozier Criswell (Ricky).
