He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alex James Newton and Cora "Tiny" Smith; and his brothers, Herbert and Mike Newton. He was also cherished by daughters, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bashi United Methodist Church Cemetery (8827 Bashi Rd, Thomasville, AL 36784).
