He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Atkinson and Lela Harmon Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Lillie Mae Atkinson; and his children, Ronda Eason, Jerry Atkinson, Teresa Smith and Rethia Atkinson. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
