He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Curtis and Pauline Bell Doggette. He is survived by: his wife Donna Phillips Doggett; and his children, John Ira Doggett, Jr., Christie Marie Doggette Ward and Hali Gunter Akridge (J. J.). He is also survived by six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home (34550 US-43, Thomasville, AL 36784). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
