She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Dement and Velma Sheffield Dement; and her brother Jasper Davy Dement (Terri Sue). She is survived by: her husband Clarence E. Smith; her son Danny Wayne Rogers, Jr. (Lauri); her stepdaughter Melynda Hodge (Alan); her grandchildren, Sarah Joye Hook-Rogers (Elizabeth Hook-Rogers), Joel Dement Rogers (Brittnay Rogers) and Justin David Rogers; her great grandchild Skylar Blakely Pruet; her niece Joye Katrina Dement (Jen Newsome); and her nephew James Byron Dement (Stacey).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Midway Baptist Church.
