She was predeceased by: her father Jerry Harrington. She is survived by: her mother Natalie Harrington of Thomasville, AL; her husband John G. "Fritz" Bates of Thomasville, AL; her children, Chuck Bates (Wendy) of Thomasville, AL, Rick Bates of Thomasville and Jennifer Bates Bradford of Thomasville, AL; and her sisters, Pam Hall (Larry) of Hattiesburg, MS and Lisa Bryant (Mike) of Lynchburg, VA. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
