It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Louise Stokes (Thomasville, Alabama), who passed away on November 6, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Thomas Lee and Mary Beatrice Lee; her husband Elvin Myles Stokes; her children, Richard Myles Stokes, William Paul Stokes (Chrisden) and Brenda Stokes Edwards (Parke); her siblings, John Lee, Roger Lee, Diane Baker, Elizabeth Palmer, Judy Osburn, Katie Scheid, Jean Harvell and Carol Llewellyn; her grandchildren, James Clayton Elliott (Sandy), Robert Myles Elliott and Makayla Stokes; her great grandchildren, Sadie Jane Elliott, William Bowen Elliott and Walker Benjamin Elliott; and her stepgrandchildren, Gabriel Paul, Aiden Paul and Isabel Paul.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home or to the American Cancer Society.
