In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Carolyn leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Carolyn may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gurley Jr. and Dorothy Gurley; and her husband Dennis Brooks. She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth "Ken" Brooks (Kristi) and Scott Brooks (Cyndi); her sister Marilyn Garrett (Roger); her grandchildren, Taylor Brooks, Madison Brooks, Dalton Brooks and Lexie Brooks; and her great grandchildren, Luke Lewis, Brooks Lewis and Kashton Brooks. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Midway Memorial Gardens.
