It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Della Katherine Barnett of Thorsby, Alabama, who passed away on December 25, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Huey and Wilda Lawrence Huey; her husband Ishmael Bryant Barnett; and her siblings, Ann Lackey, Gloria Harper, Lawrence Huey, LaFayette Huey, Thomas Huey and Franklin Huey.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Rachel Mims, Ginger Bell, Todd Barnett, Haley Johnston, Heidi Hughes, Jason Barnett, Hunter Barnett, Riley Barnett and Katie Strickland; and her sisters-in-law, Eva Nell Huey, Dempsey Huey and Avis Huey.
