She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Bessie Carmichael Zellner and James Otis Zellner; and her husband Oliver Newman. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Black (Jim) of Hoover, Doris Wortham (John) of Jemison, Betty Janney (Trip) of Thorsby and Tommy Newman (Karen) of Hoover. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home (475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
