He was predeceased by: his parents, Lattie J. Davis and Essie Price Davis; his siblings, Ernest, Gladys, Earl, Irene and Louise; and his daughter Karen.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughters, Jennifer (James) and Rebecca; his grandsons, Cody and Justin; and his daughter Melissa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a very large extended family.
