Diana leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Diana’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery Durand and Thelma Durand; her daughters, Melisa Hammond and Kippi Eaton; and her sister June Little.
She is survived by: her husband William David Smith; her children, Donna Meyer, Adrianne Hillis, Michael Hillis and Stephanie Smith; and her brother Dwight Overstreet. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Valhalla Funeral Home (698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, AL 35811). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM.
