He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bentley and Rebekah Hill Bentley. He is survived by: his daughters, Rebekah "Bekah" Boswell (Freddy), Katherine Howard (David) and Elizabeth "Bitsy" Dickard (Woody); his grandchildren, John Boswell (Lauren), David Boswell (Jasmine), Kathryn Boswell (Matt Amira), Katie Hodges (Trey), Danae Ireland (Nick), Joni Kay (Josh), William Howard (Rilea), Robert Dickard (Brooke) and Diane Griffing (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Felix, Hugo Boswell, Zane, Max Hodges, Bennett, Jackson, Emma Ireland, Colt, Chloe Howard, Sam, Ellie, Brody Dickard and Riley Griffing. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was also instrumental in starting the Hazel Green Volunteer Fire Department (with a story he loved to tell about their first donated fire truck with inoperative brakes!).
