He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Earl Bennett; his grandparents, John, Sarah Bennett and Clarence Walker; his niece Brittany Whipple; his uncles, Charles Walker, Junior Walker and Jimmy Bennett; and his aunt Sue McCollum.
He is survived by: his mother Barbara Walker Bennett; his grandmother JoAnn Lewis; his brothers, Rex Bennett (Christie) and Chris Bennett (Monica); his foster son Anthony Brown; his siblings' children, Hayden, Hudson, Blake Bennett and Hannah Harris; and his aunts, Sandra Kendrick, Nellie Hopkins and Sarah Quick.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home (322 US-31, Athens, AL 35611). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In honor of Scott's memory and his compassionate spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Haven in lieu of flowers.
