He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas and Lorene Randolph Hughes; and his brother Joe Neil Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Martha Holcomb Hughes of Carbon Hill; his daughters, Gina Gillott (Eddie Gottwald) and Geri Manasco (John); his grandchildren, Carly Gillott Newson (Tyler), Will Manasco and Tyler Manasco; and his great grandchild Ella Grace Newson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Carbon Hill Church of God of Prophecy (941 NE 4th St, Carbon Hill, AL 35549). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
