He was predeceased by : his parents, Vile Vernon Gurganus and Mary Magdalene Gurganus; his sisters, Rhonda Noah and Denise Gilmore; and his grandfather D. H..

He is survived by : his wife Donna Gurganus of Trafford; his son Derik Gurganus of Jasper; his stepsons, Jamie McAnnally and Larry Jr. Moore; his daughters, Jackie Moore, Melissa Moore and Gladys Moore; and his siblings, Cynthia Prescott (Gary) of Nauvoo, Terry Gurganus (Cathy) of Jasper and Anthony Gurganus (Libby) of Jasper. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
