He was predeceased by: his parent Lonnie Sparks; and his sister Marilyn Joan Sparks. He is survived by: his mother Hazel Beavers Sparks; his wife Linda Irene Sparks (Aday); his sons, Gerald Lamar "Gary" Sparks, Jr. (Christie), Jeremy Edgar Sparks (Holly) and Joshua Nicholos Sparks (Chasity); his brother Ronald Dwight Sparks; and his grandchildren, Bethany Kaylin Sparks Young (Micah), Nicholos Wade Sparks and Justus Andrew Sparks.
