He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Leo Sparks and Molly Grace Heflin Sparks; his siblings, Curtis Jenkins and Mildred Smith (Hershell); and his sister-in-law Annelee Sparks.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Elliott Sparks; his daughter Penney Sparks; his siblings, Rayburn Sparks, Dell Sparks (Kathy), Frankie Sparks (Judy) and Janet Voss (Ray); and his grandchildren, Kristina Anders (Josh), Kara Cottingham (Michael), Brooke Sparks and Kailynn Sparks. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church (3612 Spring Ave SW, Decatur, AL 35603). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
