He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse Jackson Terry and Willie Mag Terry; his children, Kenny Ray "Doc" Terry, Donnie Jones and Patricia Gail Terry; and his brothers, J. C. Terry, Erin Gene Terry, Tommy Terry, Gaylon Terry and Melvin Terry.

He is survived by : his wife Norma Terry; and his children, Garland "Shorty" Terry (Theresa), James "Buddy" Terry (Vanessa), Tiffany Cross (Justin) and Sandra Jeanette Jones. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
