It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Howard Carr of Troy, Alabama, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Carr and Earlene Carr; his former wife Janie Elaine Comer Carr; his brothers, Benny Carr and Steve Carr; and his brother-in-law Benny Gabbard.
He is survived by: his wife Deabron Knight Carr; his sons, Kevin Carr (Patricia) and Kelly Carr; his granddaughters, Kayla Carr, Eden Groder (Luke) and Kasey Carr; his great grandchild Violet May Groder; his siblings-in-law, Linda Carr Audrey Gabbard, Hubert Comer (Marilyn), Paul Knight (Joanna), Steve Wilkes (Sandra) and Tommy Scarborough (Patsy); and his close friends, Terry, Vicki McPherson, Dick and Lori Freeman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
