He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Witherington Newman; his grandchildren, Phillip Nathan Lisenby (Christin), Patrick Neil Lisenby (Reneé), Nakota Parkman Dicks (Bryan), Dalton Cole Parkman (Kitty), Tristan Michael Finley, Lakyn Olivia Evans, Haleigh Giglio and Adrienne Giglio; his great grandchildren, Taylor Lisenby Laws, Nathan Porter Lisenby, Grayson Scott Lisenby, Bryleigh Anne Dicks, James Ramsey Dicks, Samuel Whitt Dicks and Stella Marie Boling; and his caregivers, Susie and Tynetta.
