It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Oree Grimes of Troy, Alabama, who passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his wife Edith Bundy Grimes; his parents, Pearlie Grimes and Effie Crenshaw Grimes; his brothers, Thomas Lee Grimes and Ovie Dee Grimes; and his son-in-law Rev. Kenneth Hudgens.
He is survived by : his daughter Lynn Grimes Hudgens; his grandson Zach Hudgens (Kellie); and his sister-in-law Peggy Grimes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
