He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cecil Wilkes and Ada Lou Bundy Wilkes; and his siblings, Elson Wilkes (Hazel), Edsel Wilkes, Tommy Wilkes (Helen), Carnell Wilkes, Juawana McClure (Frank) and Linda Morrin (Reggie).
He is survived by: his wife Allie Mae Wilkes; his daughters, Dianne Borland (Freddy), Connie Wilkes and Melody LeCroy (Mike); his grandchildren, Alison McCollough (Ryan), Brantley LeCroy and Christina Lyons (Chase); his great grandchildren, Bette McCollough and Joey Lyons; his siblings, Evelyn Anderson, Mary Foritner (Don), Byron Wilkes (Gloria), Jerry Wilkes (Juanita) and Joy Taylor (Mickey); and his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Wilkes and Fay Wilkes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
