She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Gene Currey; her parent Yong Man Yuk; and her stepson Bryan Currey. She is survived by: her daughter Onna Helms; her son-in-law Glenn; her grandchildren, Addison Kate Helms and Hudson Bryan Helms; her siblings, Chong Tae Yuk (Tae), Mison Pena (Elias) and Miyon Chung (Yi Kwan); her nieces and nephews, Chong Su Yuk, Sun Young Yuk, Yi Hwan Yuk, Jennifer Pena (Daniel Liu), Mi Na Chong, Che Hyun Chong, Chong Hyun Chong, Murdo Pena Liu, Millie Pena Liu and Maddie Pena Liu; and her caregivers, Ruby Shipman, Bonnie Tillery and Danielle Pennington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the Tennille Community Church or Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
