He is survived by : his son Brian Lewis Atwell; his father Jimmy Lewis Atwell, Sr.; his wife Cindy Atwell; his children, Brandon Atwell (Sophie), Ron Atwell, Jeremy Hughes, Shelby Atwell (Jay Hill) and Justine Haas; his grandchildren, Logan, Preston, Courtney, Ty, Emily, Mariah and Demontrell; his siblings, Shirley Lee, Jewell Flinn, Jimmy, Charles, Weston, Roger, Henry and Wallace; and his niece Destiny Barnes.
