Though Vanessa may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Beck and Wanda Beck; her husband Stan Childs; and her sister Pam Hickingbottom. She is survived by: her son Bobby Childs (Tammy); her grandchildren, Lela and Layton; and her siblings, Raymond Beck (Sharon), Bobby Beck (Jackie) and Cheryl Davis (Steve). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Dillard Funeral Home (206 Old Hwy 231 N, Troy, AL 36081). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
