She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick L. Tate and Elaine J. Tate (Johnson); and her grandson J. Briar Moses. She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, April E. Morris (Tommy L.) of Springville, AL, Kristina L. Moses (H. Joshua) of Geraldine, AL, Spencer P. J. Self (Jessica L.) of Remlap, AL and Jonathan M. Self (Kendra P.) of Homewood, AL; her siblings, Joyce A. Robertson (Thomas A.) of Odenville, AL and Patrick L. Tate (Karen M.) of Franklin, TN; her nieces and nephews, Brandy M Giraldo, Chance M. Cuthbert, Maggie M. Cuthbert, Joey C. Cuthbert, Levi A. Tate and Piper E. Tate; and her grandchildren, Symber E. Moses, Morgan A. Moses, Haylee M. Morris, Holden E. Peine, Taylor R. Moses, Tate R. Milstead of Hunter, R. A, Gabriel O'Donnell, Graham M. Self, Colson L. Moses, Rowan M. Moses, Lilyann R. Self, Brooklynn N. Moses, Ryley J. Morris, Maddie O. Self, Jackson G. Weeks and J. Caleb Moses.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Adjoining Cemetery. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carrington Lakes Clubhouse (5659 Carrington Lake Pkwy, Trussville, AL 35173).
