Nancy will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Frederick MacVeigh and Anna Katherine MacVeigh (Smith); her siblings, James L. MacVeigh, Albert C. MacVeigh and Linda K. MacVeigh Dorsi; and her granddaughter Lauren Ashley Black.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laurie Ann Smith Black and Shari Rena Smith; and her granddaughter Linnéa Izabella Black of Trussville, AL. She is also survived by several extended family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Arc of Central Alabama.
