He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Hilsmeyer McElroy and Clarence McElroy; and his brother Marcus McElroy. He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann Watkins McElroy; his daughters, Tricia Alice McElroy of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Anne Denise McElroy of Nashville, Tennessee; his granddaughter Niamh Alice McNaughton of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.; his sister-in-law Dugan McElroy (Santa Fe); his nephews, David McElroy (Santa Fe) and Ross McElroy; his great-nephew Reid McElroy; and his great-niece Ryan Kate McElroy.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404). A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Park (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Humane Society of West Alabama or Hospice of West Alabama.
