With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Earlene Cox of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, born in Vinita, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 7, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Harold Wallace and Hazel Wallace (Matti); her son Robert Steele; her stepdaughter Mary Vanover; her daughter-in-law Carrie Steele; her sister Thelma; her brother-in-law Jess Walker; her siblings, Ida Long, James Wallace and Paul; and her sister-in-law Judy Wallace.
She is survived by : her husband Roy Cox of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; her children, Gary Steele (Kristen) of Miami, Oklahoma and Brandi Hinton (Jeff) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; her grandchildren, Matt Steele of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Nicole Poole (Jeremy) of Bluejacket, Oklahoma, Emma Appling, Grady Hinton of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Kara Crafton (Matt) and Kayla Mammedaty (Chris) of Miami, Oklahoma; her great grandchildren, Melanie Crafton, Andrew and Camden Mammedaty; her siblings-in-law, Leon Long of Berlin, Maryland and Frances Wallace of Vinita; her brother Joe; her sisters-in-law, Diane Cox of Welch, Oklahoma and Ruth Branam of Fairland, Oklahoma; and her niece Linda Neill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
