It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ima Jean Brewer Rayfield (Tuscaloosa, Alabama), who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Claude Raymond Rayfield; her daughter Jean Ellen Rayfield Hardy (Donald); her parents, Clifford Edwin and Leila Mills Brewer; her sisters, Dr. Marilyn Brewer Lauber and Alma "Tinsey" Brewer Druhan; and her brothers-in-law, Jim Druhan and David Rayfield.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Donald Hardy; her granddaughter Katelyn Hardy Sellers (Garrett); and her great grandchild Cameron Scott Sellers. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church or the Jean and Raymond Rayfield Endowed Scholarship at the University of Alabama School of Social Work.
