She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Smith; her parents, Thomas Key and Shelby Key; and her brother Tommy Key. She is survived by: her children, Rush Smith (Diane) and Carol Barnette (Ed); her sister Jean Nicholson; her sister-in-law Sarah Smith; her grandchildren, Alisa Sanders (Wayne), Clay Mathews (Mary Kathryn), Kent Mathews (Mary Katherine), Tanya Webster (Matt) and Jason Barnette (Liz); and her great grandchildren, Blake, Lexi, Kasen, Oliver, Eliza, Mary Martin, Owen, Madi, Presley, Lillie, Addison, Hannah, Drew and Levi.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church or Hospice of West Alabama.
