He was predeceased by : his parents, Ervin Thomas and Adell Thomas (Sansing) of Millport; his sister Lucille; his brother-in-law Grover Bowles; his brother Jessie; and his sisters-in-law, Lesley Thomas and Mary Ann Presley Duckworth.

He is survived by : his spouse Rammie Presley Thomas; his children, LaDonna Beck (Freddie), JoAnn Naramore (Rayford), Michael Ellis Thomas (Judith) and Judy Skelton; his grandchildren, Brent Naramore (Melissa), April Weatherford (Paul), Noah Skelton, Steve Beck, Michael Beck (Jamie) and Ricky Beck; his great grandchildren, Michael Cooper Weatherford, Anna Weatherford, Collins Naramore, Kelley Naramore, Gage Beck and Maggie Beck; his close friend Sadie Colburn; and his sister-in-law Wilma Chism. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
