She was predeceased by: her son James Dennis Garner; her parents, Robert A. Stewart and Pauline Ballard Stewart; and her brother Harold Stewart. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy H. Garner; her daughter Paulette Robertson (Tim); her grandson Roman Robertson; and her siblings, Sue Stewart of Stevenson, AL., Judy Bailey (Alan) of Flat Rock, AL., Denise Stewart Postelle of Atlanta, GA., Robert D. Stewart (Anne) of Melton, FL and Kenneth Stewart (Diane) of Cohutta, GA.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home- Tuscaloosa (6100 Old Greensboro Rd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:00 PM at the Memory Hills Gardens Cemetery (2200 Skyland E Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405).
