He was predeceased by: his parents, Acie Oscar and Grace Strange Etherton of Rainsville, Alabama.; and his brothers, Acie Etherton, Thurmon Etherton and Swannelle Cassidy Etherton.
He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Rayford Lee Etherton, Jr. (Caroline) of Mobile and Beth Winston Roberts (Paul); his sister Jean Clark of Rome; and also, Elizabeth, Russ (Blair), Guy (Kimberly), Allison Tillery, William Winston (Zoe), John and Mary Grace. He is also survived by two children, seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, Oasis Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
