He was predeceased by : his parents, Ada Louise Grimes-Smith and Vernon Hamilton Smith; and his brother Merideth Smith. He is survived by : his children, Jason Hamilton Smith and Bridgett Leann Smith; his siblings, Ellis Smith, Jimmy Smith, Audrey Weeks and Marlyann Slatton; his grandchildren, Brittney Howard, Alexia Smith, Allison Pugh and Makayla Pugh; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Luna and Axel Howard.
