He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Garth and Shirley Jackson Nevett; and his siblings, Staria Chambers and Jeffery Garth. He is survived by: his children, Jessica Garth and LeShawd Thompson (Jennifer Thompson); his grandchildren, Keyara Moore, Kindle Thompson and Nathan Thompson; his sisters, Diana Nevett and Lillian McVay; his brother-in-law Lester Hubbard; and his nephew LaDaniel Hubbard. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Thompson and Son Funeral Home (400 S Washington St, Tuscumbia, AL 35674).
