We announce the death of Gary Joe Easterwood of Tuscumbia, Alabama, who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 86. Gary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Easterwood and Ila Mae Paris (Cook). He is survived by: his wife Opal Easterwood; his children, Sean Easterwood (Tonya) and Tonya Palmer (Chris); his stepchildren, Mark "Yogi" Welborn, Gary Welborn (Ann) and Alf Welborn (Amanda); his grandchildren, Tamara Easterwood, Kolten Easterwood, Sierra Palmer, Kyle Clark, Lane Welborn, Karley Welborn Davis and Macey Welborn; and his niece Diane Faust.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home (825 N Main St, Tuscumbia, AL 35674). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
