He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Anne Fowler Bishop; his parents, Hubert Eugene Bishop, Sr. and Ruth Reid Bishop; and his siblings, Rebecca McWilliams, Jean Wakefield and Olen Bishop.

He is survived by: his daughter Mary Lynn Bishop; and his sister Ruth Johnston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Foundation or to Tuscumbia Church of Christ Young at Heart Fund.
