He was predeceased by: his wife Jackie Vaughn; his parents, Albert Vaughn and Lillie Vaughn; his son Thomas Vaughn; and his sister Jeraldene Eddy.
He is survived by: his sons, James Stanley Vaughn (Brenda) and Johnny Vaughn (Tabitha); his grandchildren, Kayla Gutierrez (Jose) and John M. Vaughn; his great grandchild Samantha "WeeWee" Gutierrez; and his close friend Helen Richardson.
