He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Gail Hand; his parents, Earnest Hand and Ada Hand; his siblings, J. C., Ray Hand and Patricia Smith; and his son-in-law Timothy Hill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gina Denton, Laurie Beth Hand and Kimberley Hand; his siblings, Steve Hand (Susan), Joel Hand (Rita), Paul Hand (Lucy) and Annie McClure; his grandchildren, Hannah Brooks (Ty), Levi Hill, Logan Hill, Ella Hill and Sawyer Denton; and his great grandchild Haisley Brooks. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home - Tuscumbia (825 N Main St, Tuscumbia, AL 35674). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (21 Ligon Springs Rd, Tuscumbia, AL 35674).
